Scotland’s shopping capital seems to be bucking the trend if the number of new luxury and designer stores opening up in recent months is anything to go by. Clothes retailer Pretty Green and new lingerie store Boux Avenue have bagged themselves an established presence, while upmarket supermarket Waitrose opted to open its first purpose-built store here in posh Newton Mearns.
